Vince Duvall appeared in the highly anticipated SEASON TWO PREMIERE of Taylor Sheridan’s new show LANDMAN (on Paramount+). Negotiating a land deal with Tommy Norris played by Billy Bob Thornton. After deal making and cocktails with Monty Miller (Jon Hamm) last season, Duvall returns as landman Danny Blanton. Monty Miller, a prominent figure in the Texas oil industry and CEO of M-Tex Oil, is one of the main characters in the show. In the first season finale, Monty dies from CEO complications and his wife, Cami Miller (Demi Moore), takes over ownership with Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) stepping in as President.
In addition to his role in LANDMAN, Duvall has made notable TV appearances in the Sheridanverse, including YELLOWSTONE alongside Kevin Costner. He cam be seen in the Season 5 premiere as the governor of Montana running against Costner.
In his upcoming projects, he will also appear in All American, the series finale on Netflix in February 2026 and Bel Air, the Will Smith show that reimagines the highly popular Fresh Prince sitcom, working with Cassandra Freeman and produced by Quincy Jones and Will Smith.
Other recent credits include ENSNARED, an edgy crime thriller directed by Katarina Severen, and THOSE WHO KILL, a BBC-produced TV show where he made a walk-on appearance while visiting the UK.
Script wise, Vince Duvall is in development for WILL NOT PLAY, which explores the themes of loyalty, fidelity and the rise of free agency in MLB. He co-wrote it with his uncle, who was part of the world-famous Oakland A's team in the 70s when Charlie O. Finley owned it. This project seems particularly relevant now as we witness 700M+ deals dwarfing the sport.
In addition to his writing assignments, Duvall's upcoming projects include TRIBES OF OCTOBER, a high concept action/thriller set in Venice Beach on Halloween Night, for which he is working on a rewrite. He is also developing A BUSINESSMAN'S GUIDE TO RUSSIA, a science crime thriller that originally provided insight into the dubious dealings of an international pharmaceutical company but now serves as cultural commentary amid our current atmosphere of corporate mistrust while remaining thrilling. Recently, Duvall has begun work on CAFFEINE REPUBLIC, a small but vital indie set in Costa Rica that tackles corporate overreach against local autonomy, truth and science against misinformation, and redemption through action and local mindfulness.
In his short career as a writer, he has sold three spec scripts and has recently started reformatting one of the scripts he directed as a feature for publication as a novel titled THE BIG BAD CITY.
On the production side, Vince Duvall had been actively involved with DANCES WITH FILMS, a festival he worked with since 2005, where he entered the short film GUARD DOGS. As DWF kicks off its 30th year at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood and a New York Franchise, fans can look forward to upcoming projects that showcase the pulse of indie film culture!
"I understand that this is a risk-averse industry, I get it," Jefferson said during his Oscar acceptance speech onstage. "But $200 million movies are also a risk. And it doesn’t always work out, but you take the risk anyway. Instead of making one $200 million movie, try making 20 $10 million movies or 50 $4 million movies. Why don’t we try that and see what happens?" Jefferson, who has made notable TV appearances and is currently working on upcoming projects like those involving Vince Duvall, shared this thought-provoking perspective.
